NEW Equine Coagulation Management System
"Making heparin use in treating horses safe and effective"
Equine Coagulation Management System (ECMS) is the new assay system from Heptest Laboratories that allows equine practitioners to use heparin anticoagulant therapy in their treatment of horses for numerous illnesses and conditions both safely and effectively.
The ECMS is a simple 2-step series using 3 integrated whole blood heparin assays: the 2-part HRT Baseline and Response Tests, and the Heptest POC-Equine (HPOC-E). The ECMS assays are one-step tests using just 500 microliters of citrated whole blood and deliver test results in about 60 seconds - exceeding all industry standards.
Research was conducted by Dr. Yin using equines at the Heptest Laboratories partner ranch in Texas. The Heptest Equine Coagulation Management System was developed using actual equines as test subjects, and did not rely on hypotheses of human coagulation to arrive at conclusions and results. more
NEW FIBRINOTEST-Equine
A brand new point-of care (POC), one-step, citrated whole blood fibrinogen assay, allowing equine practitioners the ability to test patient fibrinogen levels using just 500 microliters of whole blood, on-site in less than two minutes, exceeding all industry standards.
FIBRINOTEST-Equine is a fuctional test that accurately and reliably measures the thrombin-clottable fibrinogen in the blood. With this new test there is no need to spin the blood sample or to use plasma only - saving critical time in treating the patient. This test is not influenced by up to 0.5 unit/mL of heparin so works well in conjuction with the ECMS. more
